Simple Way to Make Favorite Banoffee Pie

Hey everyone, it’s Louise, welcome to my recipe site. Today, I’m gonna show you how to make a special dish, banoffee pie. One of my favorites. For mine, I am going to make it a bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Banoffee Pie is one of the most popular of recent trending foods in the world. It is simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions every day. They’re fine and they look fantastic. Banoffee Pie is something which I’ve loved my entire life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have banoffee pie using 7 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Banoffee Pie:
  1. Get 1 can sweetened, condensed milk, label removed
  2. Take 5 Tblsp. butter, melted
  3. Get 6 Tblsp. sugar, divided
  4. Take 1 + 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  5. Take 2 large or 3 medium bananas, sliced
  6. Take 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  7. Make ready 2 cups chilled, heavy cream
Instructions to make Banoffee Pie:
  1. In a medium pot, place the can of sweetened condensed milk in covered with water. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat for 2 to 3 hours. Keep adding water so that the can is always covered with water.
  2. Remove can from pot and allow a couple of hours to cool, otherwise it will not set properly.
  3. Heat oven to 325F. Mix the graham cracker crumbs and 3 tblsp. sugar in a medium bowl. Add the melted butter and stir with a fork. Put the crumbs in a 9 inch deep dish pie plate and spread evenly over bottom of pan and up the sides. Bake 15 minutes and then cool to room temperature.
  4. Place the sliced bananas in the pie crust. Stir the sweetened condensed milk, that is now homemade caramel, until it's pourable. Now pour it over the bananas.
  5. Whip the heavy cream for a few minutes until peaks start to form. Add the sugar and vanilla extract. Whip to combine. Spread the whipped cream over the caramel layer. Place in the fridge and allow to set. Remove and enjoy!
