Steps to make Chicken Patiala:
  1. In a bowl marinate the chicken with curd, ginger, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili, and salt. Mix well. Keep aside.
  2. In a karahi heat oil. Add diced onion and capsicum. Saute for 1-2 minutes. Take it out from the pan.
  3. In the same karahi heat oil. Add cinnamon stick, green cardamom, and cloves. After a few seconds add chopped ginger and garlic. Saute for one minute. Add chopped onion. Cook until golden in color.
  4. Now add turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, salt. Add chopped tomatoes. Cook on medium flame.
  5. Add marinated chicken. Add chopped green chili. Cook it for 5 minutes on low flame. Add Kasuri methi. Cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add water. Boil it till the chicken is fully cooked. Add cashew nut paste and fried onion capsicum. Cook for few minutes.
  7. Add garam masala powder and cream. Cook for one minute.
  8. Now the chicken is ready. Garnish with chopped green chili and ginger. Serve it with tandoori roti.
