Instructions to make Aloo chicken khorma:
  1. Firstly we will fry roast almonds & coconut powder then blend it to a fine paste adding a little water set aside. Further wash chicken with a tablespoon of vinegar it will not smell fishy.
  2. Now chop potatoes cubes drop it in water. Pick all spices required for cooking on hand. Further chopped onions take a cooking wok add in oil & add onions sauté until golden brown
  3. Then add green chili’s,cardamoms,cinnamon sticks & add ginger garlic paste sauté for two minutes. Next add the paste of almonds & coconut powder with all spices & kasuri methi
  4. Keep stirring while the paste of almonds & coconut powder is added gradually add yoghurt (curd) mix very well so that no lumps are formed or whisk it before & add it now cook the gravy until the raw smell disappears & slightly it’s oil separates now pop in the washed chicken & potatoes cook for 3-4 minutes
  5. Now add 250 ml water that’s around 1 cup cover the lid & cook for 10 minutes while the chicken & potatoes gets tender simmer the flame let it boil besides add in Garam masala powder & mint & coriander leaves for garnishing set it on flame for 3-5 minutes. Drizzle some lime juice now it’s ready to serve
  6. Enjoy the delicious Aloo chicken khorma with rice or parathas either.
  7. Tip of the day:- the consistency can be adjusted accordingly while we add water & the spices though. If preparing for more members can increase the quantity’s accordingly with chicken & spices. If people in India are trying it the poppy seeds are also added in this khorma gives more taste if it’s available otherwise this is the best way to enjoy this meal..!
