Take For chicken marination :
Make ready 750 gm chicken (with bone)

Prepare 2 green chilies
Get 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Take 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Take 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
Prepare 2 medium-size tomato

Make ready 1/3 cup kasuri methi
Get 12 cashewnut
Prepare 1/4 cup fresh cream
Get 1/2 tsp garam masala
Get 3 tbsp oil
Get 2 tbsp butter
Prepare As required For garnish Coriander leaves
Instructions to make Kasuri Methi Chicken Gravy:
In a bowl take cleaned chicken. Add all the other ingredients mentioned for chicken marination. Mix well and keep aside for minimum half an hour.
Soak the cashews in hot water for 20 minutes and grind to a fine paste. Soak kasuri methi in hot water for 5 minutes, strain and keep aside.
In a pan heat oil and butter. Add finely chopped onions and slit green chilies. Saute until onions are translucent.
Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes away. Add turmeric and chili powder and saute for 20 seconds.
Add chopped tomatoes and salt, cover and cook till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add the marinated chicken and mix well. Cover and cook for 20 minutes stirring in between.
Add cashewnut paste and mix well. Add drained kasuri methi, fresh cream and mix.
Add half cup water or as needed. Mix well and let it come to boil. Simmer and cook until the gravy thickens and reach desired consistency.
Sprinkle garam masala, coriander leaves and cook for a minute.
Serve kasuri methi chicken gravy with naan, roti or jeera pulao.
