The ingredients needed to make Ponzu Shiitake:
  1. Take 200 g Shiitake Mushrooms
  2. Prepare Oil for cooking
  3. Make ready Ponzu Dressing
  4. Take 2 tablespoons Ponzu (see recipe)
  5. Get *OR 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce, 1/2 tablespoon Rice Vinegar & 1/2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  6. Take 1/2 clove Garlic *finely chopped, optional
  7. Get 1/2 Chilli *thinly sliced, optional
  8. Make ready 1/2 Spring Onion *finely chopped, optional
Instructions to make Ponzu Shiitake:
  1. Combine all the Ponzu Dressing ingredients in a bowl. *Note: Vegetables are optional. You can use Ponzu only.
  2. Clean Shiitake Mushrooms, cut into the size that is easy to eat if large.
  3. Deep-fry or shallow-fry Shiitake. The easiest method is probably shallow-fry in a frying pan. Heat a generous amount of Oil in a frying pan, cook Shiitake Mushrooms over medium heat until both sides are nicely browned.
  4. Add to the Ponzu Dressing and mix to combine. Add extra Ponzu if you like stronger flavour.
