The ingredients needed to make Amle ki Murrabba:
  1. Take 250 gms amla or gooseberries
  2. Prepare 250 grams tamarind paste
  3. Make ready 100 gms jaggery
  4. Prepare 1 tsp each wholegrain shania,meera and sauf
  5. Get 1 tbsp common salt
Instructions to make Amle ki Murrabba:
  1. Wash the gooseberries and drain out the water. Prick the bodies with toothpicks and sprinkle salt all over. Allow to dry.
  2. Boil the gooseberries and drain out the water after they become tender.
  3. In a deep based karai heat some water. Put in the jaggery and keep stirring. As the gravy becomes thicker and tamarind paste and continue stirring.
  4. Gradually add the gooseberries and turn the mixture upside down.
  5. As well cooked turn of the flame and allow to cool down. Sprinkle with the grounded spices.
  6. Pour in a sterilized glass jar and put in the refrigerator.
