The ingredients needed to make Jowar and Dudhi Muthiya:
  1. Take 1 cup grated dudhi
  2. Take 2 1/2 cup jowar flour
  3. Get 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  4. Get 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  6. Take 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  7. Take 1/2 tbsp chaat masala
  8. Take 2 tbspn dhanya jeera (coriander cumin)powder
  9. Make ready To taste Salt
  10. Get For Tempering
  11. Prepare 2 tsp Oil
  12. Prepare 8 curry leaves
  13. Take 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
  14. Prepare 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  15. Make ready 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  16. Make ready Pinch hing/asafoetida
Instructions to make Jowar and Dudhi Muthiya:
  1. Grate the dudhi in a bowl.. in a same bowl add the jowar flour and all the spices mentioned in ingredients list.
  2. Now make a dough out of it and make elongated 7-8 shape rectangles of the dough.
  3. Steam thus muthiya in a steamer for 30 min. (I use dhokla steamer) it changes the colour a little dark. Insert a stick or knife and if it comes clean it means the muthiya are steamed.
  4. Let this cool and then cut it in small pieces.. see the below pic.
  5. Add oil in the kadai and add curry leaves, hing, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and sesame seeds. Saute it for 1 min.
  6. Add the pieces of muthiya. Let it roast for 5 min till it become crispy.
