The ingredients needed to make Gatte ki sabzi:
  1. Get For gatte
  2. Get 1 cup besan
  3. Take 1/4 ajwain
  4. Make ready 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  5. Get 1/2 chilli powder
  6. Prepare 1 tsp coriander powder
  7. Take 1+1/2 tbsp oil
  8. Get 1 tbsp curd
  9. Make ready as required water
  10. Prepare 4 cup water for boil gatte
  11. Take For curry
  12. Take 1 tbsp oil
  13. Take Pinch hing
  14. Get 1 bay leaf
  15. Make ready 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  16. Prepare 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
  17. Make ready 1 tsp kasuri methi
  18. Get to taste Salt
  19. Get 1/2 tsp chilli powder or to taste
  20. Prepare 1 tbsp coriander powder
  21. Make ready 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  22. Take 2 chopped garlic cloves
  23. Get 1 inch chopped ginger
  24. Take 1 chopped onion
  25. Prepare 1 cup water
  26. Take 1 cup curd
  27. Make ready as required Fresh coriander for garnishing
Instructions to make Gatte ki sabzi:
  1. Firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup besan.
  2. Also add  ajwain, coriander powder turmeric, chilli powder, pinch hing, salt.
  3. Now add 1 and 1/2 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp curd
  4. Further, add as required and knead the dough for 5 minutes.
  5. Further, add 2 tbsp water or as required and knead the dough for 5 minutes.
  6. Now pinch a ball sized dough and prepare cylindrical logs.
  7. In a large vessel boil 4 cups of water.
  8. Once the water comes to a boil, drop in prepared besan gatte.
  9. Once the besan gatte is cooked, it starts to float.
  10. Drain off the gatte into a plate. Mow cut the gatte into small pieces and keep aside.
  11. For gatta curry
  12. Firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and saute cumin, kasuri methi, bay leaf,  fennel and pinch hing.
  13. Further, add onion, ginger, garlic and saute to golden brown.
  14. Keeping the flame on low, add  turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and cumin powder.
  15. Saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  16. Furthermore, add 1 cup water. use leftover water from boiled gatte.
  17. Also, add 1 cup curd and stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  18. Now add prepare gatte and  salt. mix well.
  19. Vover and boil for 10 minutes, or until gatte absorbs flavour. adjust the consistency as required.
  20. Additionally, add garam masala and 2 tbsp coriander. mix well.
  21. Finally, serve gaate ki sabji with roti phulka or rice.
