  1. Take 4 pears
  2. Get 1 L water
  3. Take 250 g sugar
  4. Take 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions to make Poached Pears:
  1. Peel the pears, leaving the stem on. Cut off the bottom so they can stand when plating

  3. Add pears to the saucepan and reduce to a simmer. Poach for about 45 minutes or until the pears are soft
  4. Let the pears cool down. Meanwhile, boil the syrup until it reduces and thickens to a glaze
  5. Serve the pears warm or cold with syrup and some cream, or even better, with crème anglaise!
