  1. Take 1 small cauliflower cut into big pieces

  12. Make ready 1 tsp sugar
  13. Get 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

  15. Prepare 2 tsp Turmeric powder
  16. Take as a Water
  17. Prepare 1 tsp Jeera/ cumin seeds
  18. Make ready 1 inch cinnamon stick
  19. Take 2 cloves
  20. Get 2 green cardomom
  21. Take 1 dried red chilli
  22. Prepare 1 bay leaf
Instructions to make Cauliflower Sabji:
  1. First wash the potato and cauliflower pieces. Now heat a pan, add 2 to 3 tbsp oil to it & add the cauliflower & potato pieces to it. Now add some salt and turmeric powder to it. Fry them for about 15 mins, by covering it, on a low flame. Then remove them and keep them aside.
  2. Then in the same kadhai, add 2 tbsp oil and add jeera, green cardomom, cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, dried red chilli & few curry leaves. Let them splutter. Then add few grated onion, chopped tomato, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt & sugar.
  3. Mix everything well and fry them on a low flame until oil starts releasing from the masalas. Then add fried cauliflower and potato pieces to it. Mix everything well and fry them along with the masalas for 2 to 3 mins.
  4. Then add 1 cup water to it. Combine everything well. Again cover it and cook it on a low flame for about 15 to 20 mins. Check the salt once at this stage, give it a good mix. Now switch off the flame and enjoy with rice or roti of your choice.
