  1. Prepare 1 cup soaked and drained sabudana (small size)
  2. Prepare 1 medium boiled potato chunks

  5. Take 1 Tbsp Ginger, finely chopped
  6. Take 8-10 curry leaves
  7. Take 1 dry red chili
  8. Take 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  9. Make ready 1/3 cup roasted peanuts
  10. Make ready 1 Tbsp Chana dal
  11. Take 1 Tbsp Urad dal
  12. Take 1 Tbsp chaat masala
  13. Prepare 1/4 tsp hing
  14. Get 1 tsp sambhar powder
  15. Get 1 Tbsp ghee and 1 Tbsp oil to cook
Instructions to make Sabudana Upma:
  1. Arrange the ingredients.
  2. Heat ghee and oil. Add cumin seeds, allow to crackle.
  3. Add chana dal and urad dal and saute on low heat.
  4. Add dry chili and curry leaves. Saute for two minutes. Add peanuts.
  5. When the dals turn brown add chopped onion and green chili, chopped ginger. Saute till the onion gets translucent.
  6. Mix the boiled potato chunks and fry for some time.
  7. Further mix chaat masala and sambar powder and mix well.
  8. Then add soaked sabudana, mix well with masala potato. Switch off the flame.
  9. Gradually sabudana tun transparent like pearls and then the upma is done.
