The ingredients needed to make Steamed Sticky Rice:
  1. Take 400 g glutinous rice
  2. Take 2 Chinese sausages
  3. Prepare 5 shiitake mushrooms
  4. Take 150 ml mushroom water
  5. Make ready 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
  7. Take Sauce Mix
  8. Take 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  9. Prepare 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  10. Make ready 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  11. Take 1/2 tsp sugar
  12. Take White pepper
Instructions to make Steamed Sticky Rice:
  1. Soak the glutinous rice and dried mushrooms for 3 hours
  2. Remove the mushroom stems and cut into dices. Save water for later use
  3. Steam the Chinese sausages for 10 minutes and cut into slices
  4. Sauté the garlic with oil until fragrant, then add the sausages to sauté for a few minutes
  5. Add mushrooms and the cooking wine, sauté for a few more minutes
  6. Drain the glutinous rice and add them into the rice cooker along with all the ingredients
  7. Add the residual mushroom water (150 ml) and sauce mix then start cooking (takes 25-30 minutes)
  8. Sprinkle some scallions and fried peanuts on top to serve (I served mine with XO sauce) Enjoy!
